Partial demolition of a centenary building

Partial demolition of the old, century-old Snowdon Theater located on Décarie Boulevard in Montreal. For reasons of heritage preservation, it was important to keep the front façade as well as the side walls. The enclosure had previously been stripped and asbestos removed. The structure was steel/concrete, 40 to 65 feet high, depending on the sector.

  • Almost complete demolition
  • Preservation of the facade for heritage reasons
  • mechanical demolition

  • Restricted space (clearance of 3 meters in front of the building)
  • Interior demolition
  • Work in winter conditions
  • Proximity of the building to the public (appartment buildings, commercial spaces)
